Supervision- Supervision
is to overseeing the work of subordinates to secure effective performance
of the task as per plans and to achieve the desired results. A supervisor
must know fully the plans and policies of management and keep the subordinates
fully informed about them. For effective supervision a supervisor must
develop sensitiveness and understanding of the feelings and emotions of
persons working under him.
Project
management is concerned with defining project activities, maintaining
their integrity and ensuring that they are performed as desired
within the allocated time and cost budgets, using organizational
and non organizational resources. Collection of data and resources,
formulation of plans, proper use of resources, solution for
the problem, exact path for achieving targets are the including
parts for the management of projects. Managing projects is a
matter of both promoting creative knowledge generation processes
and controlling progress towards global goals and time limits.
It is
the process of giving authority to a person to undertake activities
or tasks on behalf of another person. Superior have the right
to delegate but they have to take care to delegate work to the
right person as wrong delegation may result in more time and
resources wastage. Effective delegation includes authority,
responsibility and accountability.
A good
moderator conducting the meeting should ensure that: agenda
is fixed and only relevant items are included in it; the meeting
involves only those who are directly associated or affected
by the issue; all members adhere to agenda; if any irrelevancies
crop up, they are handed politely but firmly; the meeting arrives
at a decision or a solution; there is a follow up to ensure
proper implementation of decision taken.
The processes
should be directed towards the achievement of goals. The inputs
should be implementing in right field /area to get the desired
output. Each and every mission should be started with by aiming
a fixed target. Target should be interesting and beneficial
one. This will motivate the workers of the organizations to
achieve the target. After achieving targets the performance
of the workers should be rewarded and appreciated, it will encourage
them for the upcoming targets.
